Welcome to Saraelv Wilderness Centre deep in the beautiful Reisa Valley in Nordreisa community in the north of the Troms county in northern Norway. Saraelv is located on the bank of the mighty 120 km long Reisa river, 46 km from the nationalpark village of Storslett, about 4 hours by car from Tromsø and about 3 hours by car from Alta. It´s also possible to land with a helicopter on site. Saraelv is surrounded by endless mountain plateaus, in winter you can also get here by snowmobile from Kautokeino.
how to get here
The best way to get to our lodge is to use your own car. This gives you the best flexibility for exploring the wast Reisa region.
If you fly to northern Norway, you will fly to Tromsø / Alta city and there are many companies where you can rent a car for your stay. This is the best possible way and we highly recommend it.

Tromsø and Alta are the most convenient airports for the region and have the most frequent departures from Oslo (OSL).
Sørkjosen (SOJ) is a small airport in our town center, and offers daily connections with Widerøe to/from Tromsø City / Alta City.
We can arrange a direct transfer from the airport in Tromsø / Alta / Sørkjosen. Contact us for more information.
Combine a cruise with the coastal steamer by Hurtigruten or Havila company with a visit to Saraelv Lodge. The closest port is Skjervøy, and Hurtigruten / Havila has daily calls to this harbor.

The Arctic Route – is a transportation network that operates daily winter bus routes (1 December – 31 March) between main destinations in the Arctic. The final station is Storslett.
Public transport:
Bus 150 (Tromsø – Alta) and 160 (Tromsø – Storslett), has daily departures all year.
PICK UP SERVICE
Take the Arctic Route bus from Tromsø to Storslett or take the flight from Tromsø Airport (TOS) to Sørkjosen Airport (SOJ) and we will pick you up and drive you to Saraelv. And after your stay we bring back to Storslett or Sørkjosen. Send us a message about the day and time.
